New Puppy, Daisy Duke!!!
This is our new puppy...actually, we have had her for almost 3 weeks now. She is almost 5 months old now. She's a White and Brindle colored Jack Russell Terrier and she is a really good girl. We got her at a Pet Store and paid too much for her as she is a "Puppy Mill" puppy from Missouri....came complete with Kennel Cough to boot...Don't get me started!! But we fell in love with her and had to have her and I'm so glad she's with us! Abby (our wonderful Chocolate Lab) loves having her around as her own little live chew toy....no really, they play great together and they are both good campers. Daisy had her first camping experience with us up in New Brunswick, Canada the day after we brought her home...she was a trooper!

Faceted Citrine Chandelier Earrings
Finally finished these Earrings and they are listed on Artfire and Etsy. These are a project I started a while ago and then ran out of the right size Headpin, so I stopped work on them and then just kept procrastinating on finishing them. I finally picked them back up the other day and just finished them. They are very sparkly and make a light "tinkling" sound as they move about.

Update about hay
Just thought I should post an update about the hay situation. We were able to get in about 600 bales, but it is not very good stuff. Have been selling anything not feed-worthy for mulch. The feed hay is basically going to provide roughage and not much else. Second crop is groing nicely and we will have to rely on that and grain/supplements for our important nutrients. Kinda sucks because we had such good hay last year that I didn't need to grain at all. Oh well, can't ask for things to be perfect ALL the time!! LOL
I hope others with horses here in Maine are able to get the hay that they need for the winter. It really worries me, but horse people just seem to know how to get by in hard times. I think we are a pretty tough and resourceful bunch...kinda have to be!
